WHAT IS GENERATE ALL ABOUT?

You serve students during a great and important time. We know that there are many resources, and even many camps available that can serve your needs. These days are critical in the faith formation of your students. At GENERATE our team will work hard to serve you and your needs well while creating an experience that will impact the other 51-weeks in your ministry year. We are strategic and intentional to create experiences where the name of Jesus is lifted up, where the Gospel is proclaimed through the preaching and studying of the Word, and where not only are students encouraged to take the next step in their faith journey, but the challenge and opportunity to be a person of global impact is clear. These experiences happen in times of personal devotion, in small group times of reading, listening and responding, in group building and serving, in times of corporate worship, and in strategic times with your church.

In the end, a camp can’t really change a life, but a real experience with God can. We don’t want to simply create moments. We want to partner with you and be a part of moments that matter through the work of God.

The Darkness and The Light

Have you ever been in a place that’s really and truly dark? A place with absolutely zero sources of light? It’s a little unsettling, isn’t it? We lose context. We become disoriented. And if we’re honest, sometimes we get scared.

There is another kind of darkness that surrounds us. It’s not the absence of light. It’s the absence of good. There is a darkness we encounter all the time in our world. The darkness of depression. The darkness of addiction. The darkness of hopelessness. The darkness of violence. The darkness of oppression. The darkness of lostness.

It’s the darkness of a world without good. A world without God. There is darkness.

But there is a light, too. And not just any light. It’s a light that is overwhelming, all-consuming, and perfectly pure . . . a light that refuses to be ignored.

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” – John 1:5

There is a light that drives away darkness. A light that drives out fear. A light that runs off despair. A light that shines for justice. A light that is comforting, and clarifying . . . A light that saves.

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” – John 8:12

JOIN US AT GENERATE 2021 as we discover how the light, the ONE TRUE LIGHT, drives out the darkness . . . in the world, and in us.

Day 1 – Let There Be Light: The God Who Creates

Day 2 – The Light Came into the World: The God Who Cares

Day 3 – You Are the Light: The God Who Calls

Day 4 – Light the Darkness: The God Who Commands

Generate Mission Camp 2019

Our Summer Mission Camp will be July 14th-19th, 2019.  We will be on mission in Lookout Mountain, Georgia  Our students will be to serve and worship from the beautiful campus of Covenant College.

Cost for camp is approximately $330 per student, and this includes travel, lodging, a t-shirt, and a great experience to touch the life of others.  We will leave on Sunday at 2pm (be at the church for 1:30pm), and we will return on Friday at around 11pm-12am.  Make sure you review the camp letter, Packing List, Schedule and FAQs.  The Waiver and Release form (mandatory) for everyone going to camp, including adults. If you have any questions, please contact Derrick.

The theme is Redefined: Isaiah 42:9

“Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I now declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them.” – Isaiah 42:9

Human beings are nothing if not creatures of habit. We are drawn to routine. We expect the expected and when it doesn’t happen we get frustrated and confused.

Have you ever noticed the result of something completely disrupting our expectations? When something so out of the ordinary happens that it shatters the status quo? It’s absolute chaos. We don’t know how to respond. But when the disrupter is God, it can be a beautiful chaos.

God is the great redefiner. At the heart of what it means to know and experience God is the process of redefinition. God defines what it means to be new. God spoke a new creation into existence out of nothing, redefining our existence. Through the person and work of Christ, God made complete renewal possible for all who would come to faith in Him, redefining our reality. In the salvation offered by God, we discover a new identity, redefining who we are. And in discovering who God meant for us to always be, our purpose is redefined.
