Welcome! We are so glad you checked in with us. Here at First Baptist, we want you to feel welcomed, loved, encouraged, and challenged to discover the Life that comes from Christ. It doesn’t matter what your past is or where you are from, we will welcome you in.
A church is not the walls and pews, but the people. And we want to help you take the next step in the church and also with your relationship with Christ.
We would love for you to join us. In fact, we are saving a place for you now. We pray that your life will be profoundly changed as you experience the good news of Jesus. Let us know if there is any way that we can serve you by contacting us and you will hear from us soon!
How should I dress?
Everyone is welcomed. Period. Whether you dress in shorts, blue-jeans, slacks, or a tux, you will be welcomed. At any given time, our members can be seen wearing blue jeans to slacks, and t-shirts to button-downs. Just come as you are.
Where should I go?
Our church campus is located on the corner of Cary Avenue and Curtis Street. Our sanctuary is the southeastern most building (the one with the steeple). Just north of the sanctuary is the Family Life Center (FLC), which hosts Sunday School and FBCKids (Children’s Church). Located just west of the sanctuary (the back doors) is the nursery and church offices. Continue west to the Refuge where students (7th-12th grade) meet. The western most building is the Education Building which hosts the grade school Sunday School classrooms as well as the First Baptist School and Mother’s Day Out programs.
We offer parking in the northeast parking lot for visitors and those in need of disability services. On the south-side of the property, we have road-side parking. We have an additional parking area on the west side of the Education Building.

What do I do with my children?
Your children can attend our nursery or children’s church or join you during service. If your baby cries, it is no big deal. Our entire nursery staff has complete background checks and CPR certified, along with other criteria to ensure your child is safe. When you sign-in your child, you will be given a pager, and at any time you are needed, our staff will simply page you anywhere on our campus. At the end of the service, your child can be picked up in the Nursery.
If your child is older, we offer Children’s Church – a children’s style, upbeat, fun church. Children will attend worship (song time) with the entire church in the sanctuary, then just before the preaching begins, children will be escorted to Children’s Church by our Children’s Ministry Team. Following church, your child can be picked up in the Refuge.
What kind of music will there be?
Our Music Minister leads our choir through “blended” musical arrangements. Blended services are a cross between traditional and contemporary music style. There may be older, traditional songs like “Amazing Grace”, “I’ll Fly Away”, “At the Cross”, or “Just As I Am”. But we also offer more updated, modern worship music such as “10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord)”, “Our God”, “One Thing Remains (Your Love Never Fails)”, just to name a few.
How long will it last?
Our services last approximately 1 hour. Services begin with announcements and a few songs and are followed by a message from any one of a handful of speakers. Our services usually conclude with a song.
