However God calls you to give, we make it simple.
As believers we are called to tithe and give offerings to help the church further the mission of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those around us. To “tithe” literally means to give 1/10th of your best of your income. An offering is any amount above a tithe that is given to the church.
When you give, first a portion of all money received is sent to help fund missionaries in both local and foreign mission fields. With the remaining, church officials have designated budgets to help ministries and teams to complete the work of reaching others.
At times we collect for different causes such as: Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, Annie Armstrong Easter Offering, Benevolence Fund (money to be used to help others in need such as electrical bill, clothes, etc), and special Building Projects (windows and door Project).
If God has called you to pay your tithe and offerings with cash or check, those are typically collected on Sundays during our worship service, or they can be sent to our church office (please do not mail cash). Online giving has made the task much simpler and easy. Once your account is created, you can setup recurring giving, have an emailed receipt for tax purposes, and even set reminders to give again. Online giving can be done with electronic checking accounts or credit/debit cards.
Starting this in (2019), our church has moved to Planning Center Giving. With Planning Center, we have new features to help our members give. And begin our new system as we ring in the New Year.
