Bible Drill

Bible Drill is a journey of kids and students hiding God’s Word in their hearts for a lifetime. Through Bible Drill, kids and students become familiar with God’s Word by spending time in the Bible. They memorize scripture and the 66 books of the Bible as well as learn Bible Skills.

Join us this Sunday at 5pm as they take part in their first competition!

Homecoming

It’s a Homecoming worth celebrating, it’s our quasquicentennial anniversary!  Join us on April 3, 2022 as we celebrate 125 years of ministry here in Jennings, Louisiana.

This Homecoming will be a time of Celebrating our History!  First Baptist Jennings has survived two world wars, the Great Depression and both natural and economic disasters that caused countless other churches to close their doors in the last century. Our history is one of service and sacrifice, of love and obedience to God’s word. It’s a story of individuals who used their time and talents, often behind the scenes, to minister to the local community, our nation and our world.

The Homecoming will be a way of Challenging the Present! First Baptist Jennings stands strong today, her steeple  magnificently situated along North Cary Avenue.  Commanded by the great commission, and filled with a desire to serve, our church offers programs and events throughout the year - for every age, for everyone.

Our homecoming is a path to Creating a Future! It’s a momentous occasion for our church, and the community, and we want to invite you to join us.  All former and potential members are welcomed to attend this historic event where we will have several special guests in attendance.

Together we will be Celebrating our History, Challenging the present and Creating a future!

Mark your calendars! We will worship together at 10:15, followed by lunch and a family-fun day in the Family Life Center. There will be fun-jumps, games and more!

Journey to the Cross

The joy of Palm Sunday, the disappointment of Judas’ betrayal, the devastation of the crucifixion…the Journey to the Cross is filled with sacrifice, reflection, gratitude, prayer, fasting and so much more!

Be our guest April 11-14, 2022 in the Family Life Center as local pastors speak on topics relating to the journey of Jesus to the cross.

We genuinely hope you’ll plan to participate as the Jennings community comes together Monday through Thursday, 11:50am-12:45pm, to honor the Savior who died and rose for us all. (Lunch will be served daily.)

I Give Up – The Secret Joy of a Surrendered Life

But I don’t want to surrender! It’s normal. It’s natural. It’s human to want to be in control. But when your need for peace surpasses your desire for control, God–who truly uses all things for our good–demonstrates how much we can trust him. Though surrender sometimes flies in the face of our instincts, hopes, and dreams, it’s never without benefit. A surrendered life includes the surprise of a truly full and satisfying existence where trust is reasonable, reconciliation is possible, and relationships can heal.

Be our guest and join us for a 5 week Bible Study, beginning on March 2nd. It will be held in the Foundations classroom in the refuge building.
