As children of God, we are not to conform to the ways of this world, but to rise above, and to be transformed through spiritual growth, accountability, and discipleship.  As we become transformed into godly women, our lives emit Christ to those around us.

 Please join us for an exciting day of transformation. Our prayer is that strong relationships will be sparked and those in attendance will be uplifted, encouraged, and find healing.

Worship Leader
Casey and Heather Boone

Casey and Heather Boone have been married for 13 years and have 5 children. Casey serves as the Worship leader at Pine Ridge Baptist Church in Melder, LA while Heather teaches Sunday School and co-leads the young women’s ministry. Their greatest desire is to lead others in music that brings glory to God and invites them to worship freely.

 

 

Keynote Speaker
Jinny Henson, Christian Comedian

Jinny Henson is a native Houstonian, a graduate of Baylor University and Southwestern Seminary where she met her husband, John, Pastor of Church for the Highlands, in Shreveport, LA. Jinny has taught Communications at Dallas Baptist University and traveled the country entertaining audiences doing stand up comedy for over 20 years for such venues as The University of Montana Billings, Wise Guys Comedy Café in Seattle, ACME Couples’ Marriage Enrichment in Orlando, Florida and Cornerstone Church in Anaheim, CA. Jinny and her husband John are co-authors of a beautiful story of God’s redemption in Smyth & Helwys’ Maggie Lee for Good available on Amazon.com. The theme verse of her life, John 10:10 states, “The enemy has come to steal, kill and to destroy but I have come to bring you abundant life.”

D-NOW 2018

Our D-Now weekend is fast approaching! It is for kids who have just completed grades 1st-6th grades. We will have a fun weekend of  small group bible study, games, discipleship, mission projects, music, maybe even a sno-cone stand!

***DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS JULY 29TH***

-DNOW arrival is Friday, August 3, 2018, from 5:00-5:30 PM; pick up will be Sunday, August 5, 2018, after morning worship.

-The event will be FREE of charge. However, donations may be given to the church office with “Children’s Ministry” note attached. Checks payable to: First Baptist Church.

-DNOW weekend will consist of: small group bible studies, music, fun and games, food, off-site mission projects.

-We have trustworthy hosts that have offered to open their homes to sleep. The kids will be separated by gender and age.

-If there are reservations about the overnight stay, please let us know and arrangements can be made to pick up your child at FBC.

-Please bring: extra clothes, Bible, personal hygiene products, towel and washrag, sleeping bag and pillow. *Any medications must be turned into an adult leader at arrival. Please have instructions with.

-Be respectful of host home and follow rules that they enforce!

-Pay attention to small group leader and be respectful during sessions.

-Have a great weekend!!

Vacation Bible School 2018

Join us this year for Vacation Bible School 2018.  This year, the VBS theme is Game On.  We invite your kids to grab their megaphones, lace up their cleats, and tune up their instruments. As they fill up the offensive line, sideline, and drum line, your players, cheerleaders, and band members will realize God has given them His ultimate playbook. He wants them to join His team, train hard, celebrate salvation, and encourage one another. Get in the spirit today with Game On VBS.

 

Ages (just completed):
Pre-K 4-Kindergarten: 8:30-11:30
1st grade-6th grade: 8:30-2:00

All activities free of charge. Transportation is available if needed.
Pre-Registration Pool Party  June 14th 6-8pm at Jennings City Pool.
